Electric & Hybrid Vehicles
In theory, electric cars require very little maintenance. Lacking a combustion engine, there is no need for expensive consumables such as engine oil, air/fuel filters, spark plugs and timing belts. EVs still require the usual checks of lights, wheel bearings, tyres, chassis, suspension and brake components. Extra checks that an EV requires is a check of the charging port's integrity and checking/topping-up the reduction gearbox's oil level.
Hybrids are more complicated. As they are fitted with combustion engines, the necessary filters, lubricants and ancillary parts are needed.
Car & Van Diagnostics
Most modern vehicles today contain an on-board computer known as an ECU. Sensors all around the vehicle report back to the ECU if there is a problem. When an issue is identified the ECU generates a fault code.
There are literally thousands of potential fault codes that can only be read by specialist vehicle diagnostic equipment. A warning light on your dashboard may alert you to a fault but a full diagnostics check is required to understand the full extent & cause of the problem.
With the latest diagnostic equipment our highly trained technicians will provide you with a comprehensive fault report and can if you wish carry out the necessary repairs to get your vehicle back on the road fault free.

MOT
Tests
An MOT test is an annual inspection that is required by law on all vehicles in the UK that are older than 3 years. Including Electric & Hybrid Vehicles.
The test follows strict criteria that is set out by the DVSA to determine whether your car is safe and in a roadworthy condition. A broad range of vehicle safety checks must be completed including lights, tyres, seatbelts and emissions. It takes around 1 hour.
We can carry out Class 4 and Class 7 MOTs.
Tyres & Wheel Alignment
Ensuring your vehicle's tyres are in good condition is vital to your vehicle's efficiency and your safety. We offer FREE tyre safety checks. We only ever recommend you change tyres when it is absolutely necessary. So, if you’ve still got some miles on them, we will tell you just that.
We supply and fit a huge range of tyres from the top premium brands such as Continental through to more budget brands such as Wanli.
Wheel alignment, or tracking ensures your vehicle’s wheels are set to the optimum position. Incorrect alignment can result in rapid irregular tyre wear & can even affect the handling of your vehicle.
